How Does It Work?

This ability arises from repair cells that are found throughout our body. In the case of injury or disease repair cells are mobilized to damaged areas to attempt to fix the problem. Due to injury and/or age sometimes our own repair abilities can use a jump start. By using the pet’s own repair cells isolated from fat tissue in the body, this repair ability can be applied to areas of need.

Maggie is our rescue boxer mix who was diagnosed with patellar luxation in both back legs and hip dysplasia in both hips. She’s had several knee surgeries (including a torn ACL). Despite her pain and the trauma of surgery – she continued to be a bundle of joy – giving us love and laughs. This April, she could no longer stand up from a sitting position or walk. At 5pm, I went to pick her up after her Actistem procedure — and she walked to me…..yes, you read that right…. she walked to me (I am actually crying as I type this)…..through the miracle of Actistem Therapy………Maggie walks to her Momma… It’s now 7 months later – and she’s running around the yard, chasing leaves, squirrels, rabbits and the imaginary “monster”. She continues to bring us love and laughs.

I am very happy to say that as of this past August, Sadie has no signs of any arthritis. She is active for her age and shows no signs of pain or lameness in either leg. We believe that this a direct result of Actistem Therapy this could not be any happier.

Now over a year after the procedure, Jack is acting like a puppy! No doubt the Actistem Therapy enriched the life of our beloved boy Jack.

She can now run and play with her best friend in the yard, get up without whining and limping, go for walks, and be a normal dog. We have gone from believing she would have a very poor quality of life with a shortened lifespan to believing she will be able to be a ‘normal’ (recognizing that she’s a little goofy-so not quite normal) dog indefinitely. It is, without a doubt, a life changing treatment for her.
